The Desk Tidy Project



The student below is in the process of making a pattern which will allow him to make a vacuum formed tidy. The student is using a Pillar Drill with a pattern drill bit in the chuck. He is using this particular bit to make flat bottomed holes in the pattern base. This is a potentially a dangerous bit to use but the student is using all the correct safety procedures. The pattern is clamped down and goggles are being worn.

Below is an example of a finished pattern.
The small holes are called vent holes. They are there to guarantee a good definition.
